MedArbor’s molecular test panels are run on state-of-the-art real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technology to detect pathogenic bacteria, fungi and viruses. Most panels include RT-PCR detection of antibiotic resistance markers and provide clinicians with FDA and CDC recommended treatment guidance for mono, polymicrobial infections and multidrug resistant organisms identified by RT-PCR during testing as low, mid or high level infections.
